The Complete Birth & Family Preparation Program

An intimate live group experience for couples preparing for physiological birth, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood.

ENROLL IN WHOLEHEARTED BIRTH™

Birth preparation should be about more than memorizing the stages of labor.

It's about understanding how birth actually works.

Knowing what helps protect physiological birth and what can disrupt it.

Choosing your birth team and environment intentionally.

Preparing mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually for an experience you cannot completely predict or control.

Knowing how to ask good questions and make informed decisions when circumstances change.

Preparing Dad or your birth partner to be an active, confident source of support.

Strengthening your relationship before you're sleep-deprived, stretched thin and learning how to care for a newborn.

And preparing for the sacred transition from two people expecting a baby...

to a mother, a father and a family.

Wholehearted Birth™ is a 9-session live online experience that helps you prepare for the whole journey together.

9 Live Sessions | Approximately 18 Hours of Live Preparation | Online

$900 Founding Early Enrollment per Couple

One enrollment includes both Mother and her husband/birth partner.

You can hire a wonderful birth team and still arrive at labor unprepared.

Many first-time parents carefully choose a midwife, OB, birth center or doula and understandably assume that means they're preparing well for birth.

But choosing your birth team and preparing yourselves for birth are two different things.

Your provider may monitor your pregnancy.

Your doula may support you during labor.

Your childbirth class may explain dilation, contractions and when to go to the hospital.

But who is helping the two of you wrestle with questions like:

What do we actually believe about birth?

What does physiological birth need in order to unfold well?

What are we afraid of?

How does Mother want to be supported when she's deep inside labor?

What does Dad actually do when contractions become intense?

What happens when we're offered something we weren't expecting?

How do we make decisions when we're tired, emotional or under pressure?

How do we communicate with our providers?

What kind of environment helps Mother feel truly safe?

What happens to our relationship when we're suddenly caring for a newborn around the clock?

Who will care for Mother while Mother cares for Baby?

How do we protect the first days and weeks of our new family's life?

Your birth team matters.

But they cannot prepare for birth for you.

That preparation belongs to you.

And you don't have to figure it out alone.

ENROLL IN WHOLEHEARTED BIRTH™

You don't need more pregnancy information.

You need a framework for knowing what to do with it.

Pregnancy can suddenly make you responsible for hundreds of decisions you never knew existed.

Hospital or home?

OB or midwife?

Doula or no doula?

Birth plan?

Cervical checks?

Induction?

Pain medication?

Delayed cord clamping?

Vitamin K?

Visitors postpartum?

Breastfeeding?

And one Google search can produce ten contradictory answers.

Wholehearted Birth isn't designed to tell you exactly what choices to make.

It's designed to help you become the kind of couple who can understand your options, discern what matters to you, communicate with one another and make informed decisions with confidence.

You don't need to agree with Forest about everything.

You do need to be willing to think critically, ask questions and take responsibility for your own choices.

Whether you're preparing for home, birth center, hospital or freebirth...

Wholehearted Birth helps you understand what physiological birth needs so you can make informed decisions about where, how and with whom you birth.

Forest is transparent about her respect for physiological, undisturbed birth and her own experience of wild pregnancy and unmedicated homebirth.

But this program isn't about proving that one birth setting makes you a better mother.

It isn't about earning a natural-birth badge.

And it isn't about pretending birth can always be controlled.

You'll learn to understand the benefits, limitations and tradeoffs of different choices while developing the discernment to make decisions that belong to your family.

Because an empowered birth isn't necessarily a birth in which everything happened exactly according to plan.

It's one in which you remained an active participant in your own experience.

Testimonials

“I felt respected, supported and involved in my birth.”

“I went into birth hoping for an unmedicated vaginal hospital birth. When circumstances changed and I ended up being induced, I still felt supported, respected and involved in the decisions being made. Forest stayed with us throughout labor, and my partner was incredibly present and prepared to support me. Even though everything didn't unfold exactly as I originally imagined, I came away feeling really good about my birth experience.”

Hospital Birth Client • Prenatal, Birth Doula & Postpartum Support

This is not just childbirth education for Mother.

Your husband or birth partner is not an accessory to your birth.

One of the biggest differences between Wholehearted Birth and a conventional childbirth course is that
we're preparing both of you.

Mother is doing the physical work of carrying and birthing your baby.

But her husband or birth partner has an important role too.

He doesn't need to become a midwife.

He doesn't need to memorize a script.

And he doesn't need to control the birth.

He needs to understand what's happening well enough to remain grounded when Mother goes somewhere deep.

To recognize what she needs.

To support rather than interrupt.

To help protect her environment.

To communicate.

To ask useful questions.

To help create space for informed decisions.

To know when she needs touch, reassurance, pressure, water, movement, quiet—or simply his steady presence.

And perhaps most importantly:

to enter the experience as her partner rather than as a frightened spectator.

New Dad

“As a father, I initially had reservations about the idea of a freebirth. However, from the moment we began our journey with Forest, those reservations quickly turned into awe, acceptance, and firm confidence.

I cannot recommend Forest enough to any father or family seeking support during the birthing and postpartum journey.”

Testimonials

Because you're not only preparing for a birth.

You're preparing a relationship for parenthood.

This part matters deeply to me.

When I first began working professionally with couples, something surprised me.

Again and again, couples came through my door within the first couple of years after having their first baby.

They loved each other.

They loved their child.

And they were struggling tremendously.

They were exhausted.

Their communication had deteriorated.

Resentment was building.

Expectations had gone unspoken.

They felt unsupported or misunderstood.

Some were considering separation.

Others had already separated and needed my help mediating co-parenting agreements, boundaries and conflict.

I found myself doing relational surgery after families were already in crisis.

And eventually I started asking:

What if we prepared couples before they got here?

What if pregnancy wasn't only a time to prepare the nursery, choose a stroller and learn how contractions work?

What if it were also a time to talk about:

How will we care for one another when we're exhausted?

What does Mother actually need postpartum?

How will Dad protect and support the family?

What expectations are we carrying about motherhood and fatherhood?

How do we tell each other what we need without blame?

How do we handle conflict when neither of us has much left in the tank?

What kind of family culture are we trying to create?

Wholehearted Birth grew partly out of that realization.

I don't want to only help couples repair their relationship after the transition to parenthood stretches them to breaking point.

I want to help couples prepare for that transition intentionally.

Testimonials

Amanda

“My experience with Forest... has not only been transformative in my partnership but in all my relationships. She offers a incredibly loving container. Every session we've had with her we are given practical tools that can be used in a variety of situations.

She has helped me and my partner feel more connected, cared for and accepted than we have ever felt in our 8 years of being together.”

Amanda • Wife • Private Relationship Mentorship

This isn't a course where I talk at you for two hours while your husband checks his phone.

Information matters.

But information alone doesn't prepare people for intense human experiences.

That's why Wholehearted Birth is intentionally live, relational and interactive.

You'll learn.

But you'll also reflect.

Talk privately as a couple.

Practice communication.

Explore fears.

Clarify preferences.

Consider real scenarios.

Ask questions.

Notice where you and your partner may be carrying different expectations.

Practice what support actually feels like.

And integrate what you're learning into decisions for your actual birth and family.

Many couple exercises will happen privately with your microphones muted.

You won't be required to publicly share intimate details of your relationship.

But you'll have the benefit of learning alongside other couples walking through the same enormous transition.

Learn → Reflect → Practice → Integrate

That's very different from watching twenty prerecorded videos and hoping you remember them when labor begins.

The Wholehearted Birth™ Journey

____

SESSION 1

Birth as a Rite of Passage

Understanding the Experience You're Preparing For

Before we talk about what to do during birth, we'll explore what birth actually is.

We'll look beyond the cultural story that birth is simply a medical event to endure and begin understanding birth as a profound physical, emotional and transformational passage into motherhood and fatherhood.

We'll explore:

  • The cultural stories we've inherited about birth

  • Fear, expectation and the mind-body relationship

  • Preparation versus control

  • Pain, intensity and suffering

  • The sacred and unpredictable nature of birth

  • The mother and father you're becoming

You'll begin identifying the stories and assumptions you're bringing into your birth—and deciding intentionally what you want to carry forward.

SESSION 2

The Mother–Baby Dyad

Attachment, Connection & the Baby's Experience

Your baby isn't simply a passenger inside Mother's body waiting for life to begin at birth.

Pregnancy is already a relationship.

We'll explore Mother and Baby as an interconnected dyad and consider how pregnancy, birth and postpartum can protect that developing relationship.

We'll cover:

  • Mother–Baby connection during pregnancy

  • Why caring for Mother supports Baby

  • Attachment and responsive caregiving

  • Bonding before and after birth

  • The transition from womb to world

  • Protecting connection during the earliest hours and days

This session establishes a principle we'll return to throughout the program:

When we care well for Mother, we are also caring for Baby.

SESSION 3

Designed to Birth

Physiology, Hormones, Altered States & Undisturbed Birth

What actually happens when labor is allowed to unfold physiologically?

We'll explore birth as a mammalian process and learn why environment, privacy, safety and nervous-system state matter.

You'll learn about:

  • The hormonal physiology of labor

  • Oxytocin, adrenaline and the nervous system

  • Why privacy and felt safety matter

  • The instinctive, inward nature of physiological labor

  • Common ways the birth environment can support or disrupt physiology

  • Altered states of consciousness during labor

  • The conceptual framework of moving from ordinary analytical awareness toward increasingly instinctive and inward states

You'll leave understanding birth less as something Mother must intellectually perform and more as a physiological process she can learn to support.

SESSION 4

Creating Safety

Birth Environment, Providers, Preferences & Your Birth Team

Where you birth matters.

Who is in the room matters.

How you feel around them matters.

We'll explore:

  • Hospital, birth center, homebirth and freebirth

  • Benefits, limitations and tradeoffs of different settings

  • Objective safety and felt safety

  • Choosing providers who are compatible with your values

  • Questions worth asking your midwife, OB or doula

  • Understanding provider philosophy—not simply credentials

  • Birth preferences versus rigid plans

  • Creating an environment that supports physiology

  • Your personal birth ecosystem

You'll begin seeing your birth team not simply as a collection of professionals, but as an environment surrounding Mother and Baby.

SESSION 5

Birth as a Partnership

Preparing Mother, Father & the Relationship

This is where Wholehearted Birth goes somewhere most childbirth courses barely touch.

We'll explore birth as a partnership.

Mother's role. Father's role. Support. Protection. Attunement. Communication. Trust.

We'll explore:

  • What Mother may need emotionally during labor

  • What Dad/birth partner may experience

  • How to support without taking over

  • Protection as service—not domination

  • Communicating needs clearly

  • How partners unintentionally disconnect under stress

  • How to repair and reconnect

  • Expectations about birth and early parenthood

  • Authentic Relating practices for couples

You'll have private guided conversations together, including:

“What I Need From You”

The goal isn't for your relationship to become perfect before Baby arrives.

It's to make important conversations easier to have before you're having them exhausted at 3:00 AM with a newborn.

SESSION 6

Moving Through Labor

Stages, Comfort Measures & Supporting Physiological Birth

Now we get practical.

We'll walk through the journey of labor so both Mother and her partner understand what may be happening and how to respond.

We'll explore:

  • The physiological progression of labor

  • What early labor can look like

  • Active labor and increasing intensity

  • Transition

  • Pushing and birth

  • Normal variations in the journey

  • Hormonal and nervous-system changes

  • Comfort measures

  • Breath, sound, touch and pressure

  • Mother-directed movement and positioning

  • Rest, nourishment and environment

  • How Dad/birth partner can respond throughout labor

  • When support means doing something and when it means doing less

Rather than giving Dad a rigid checklist, we'll help him develop something more useful:

Attunement.

SESSION 7

Informed & Empowered

Personal Responsibility, Informed Consent, Advocacy & Navigating the Medical System

You can hire excellent professionals without handing over responsibility for your decisions.

This session is about learning how to remain an informed participant in your own care.

We'll explore:

  • What meaningful informed consent looks like

  • Personal responsibility without blame

  • Benefits, risks and alternatives

  • Understanding urgency

  • Asking questions when something changes

  • Creating space for private discussion as a couple

  • Common interventions and the decisions surrounding them

  • Communicating with medical professionals

  • Advocacy without unnecessary combativeness

  • Dad's role in protecting decision-making space

  • Changing course without feeling that your birth has “failed”

  • Transfers, interventions and unexpected circumstances

Rather than memorizing a script, you'll learn a simple framework for slowing down when appropriate, understanding what's being recommended and making a decision.

You might learn to ask things like:

What are you seeing?
What concerns you?
How urgent is this?
What are our options?
What are the benefits and risks?
What happens if we wait?
Do we have a few minutes to discuss this privately?

Those questions aren't the value of the session.

Knowing when, why and how to use them is.

SESSION 8

Protecting the Beginning & The Way Forward

Postpartum, Integration & Becoming a Family
This extended final session combines the original postpartum module with program integration and closing.

ENROLLMENT + PRICING

Please open enrollment as soon as the entire build has passed final QA and I approve it, ideally around September 29–30.

Founding Early Enrollment: $900 through Friday, October 16 at 11:59 PM Eastern

Regular Founding Enrollment: $1,200 beginning Saturday, October 17

Final registration deadline: Friday, October 23 at 11:59 PM Eastern

Session 1: Saturday, October 24 at 9:00 AM Eastern

I chose October 16 intentionally because it gives prospective couples a generous roughly two-week early-enrollment window while allowing me two full weeks of active marketing before the deadline.

It also gives couples multiple weekends to discuss the investment together, while still giving me a full week before the program begins to know the core enrollment, prepare, onboard participants and shift my focus from marketing to teaching.

Integration & The Way Forward

Becoming Mother, Father & Family

Our final gathering isn't another information dump.

It's a chance to integrate.

We'll return to where you began.

What changed?

What fears softened?

What questions remain?

Where do you feel prepared?

Where do you need more support?

What agreements have you made?

What kind of Mother and Father are you preparing to become?

We'll make space for:

  • Couple reflection

  • Remaining questions

  • Integration

  • Community sharing

  • Celebration

  • Intention for the journey ahead

  • Closing the experience together

You won't leave knowing exactly how your birth will unfold.

No one can promise you that.

But you'll leave having done something much more valuable:

Prepared yourselves to meet it.

Janine

“Thank you so much Forest. You were the first person we called when we realized we were pregnant. And you were there for us every step of the way.

Every time we had a session, I always felt completely reset, clear, in my power, and confident again.

I love you so much, what you are doing is beyond beautiful and important. Thank you for your vision and being you!”

Janine • Mother • Virtual Pregnancy & Postpartum Support

Janine and her husband live in Costa Rica and have since referred multiple other couples to Forest.

Imagine arriving at the final weeks of pregnancy...

and instead of thinking:

I hope we know what we're doing.

You understand what's happening in Mother's body.

You understand what physiological birth needs.

You've explored your fears instead of simply hoping they disappear.

You've talked about what Mother needs from Dad.

Dad knows how to participate.

You've thought critically about your providers and environment.

You've practiced communicating together.

You understand how to approach unexpected decisions.

You've discussed postpartum before you're living it.

You've talked about visitors, nourishment, rest, support and your relationship.

And you're entering birth knowing:

We have prepared for this together.

That's the transformation Wholehearted Birth is designed to create.

Testimonials

A REAL WHOLEHEARTED BIRTH STORY

From early pregnancy to an unmedicated homebirth they wouldn't change.

Forest began supporting this first-time Mother and Father when they were approximately seven weeks pregnant.

Over nearly a year together, they prepared mentally, emotionally, relationally and practically for birth and parenthood through private mentorship, mostly in person.

Mother hoped for a physiological homebirth.

Father struggled significantly with anxiety and needed his own preparation—not simply instructions about how to rub her back during contractions.

Together they explored birth, fears, expectations, support, communication and practical preparation.

Forest ultimately attended their homebirth as their doula alongside their midwives and continued supporting the family for approximately three months postpartum.

Mother's reflection afterward?

“I genuinely feel like I had the perfect birth. I have no complaints whatsoever. I wouldn't change a thing. I felt incredibly prepared and confident going into birth, and I felt respected throughout the entire experience.”

And Dad was prepared too.

“I had a lot of anxiety around birth, and the preparation we did with Forest gave me the mental, emotional and practical support I needed. When birth actually came, I knew how to be there for my wife and support her instead of letting my own anxiety take over.”

Their story isn't here because every couple who prepares well will have the exact birth they envisioned.

No course can guarantee a particular birth outcome.

It's here because their experience demonstrates something Wholehearted Birth deeply believes:

Preparation matters.

Understanding birth matters.

Preparing the relationship matters.

Preparing Dad matters.

Creating a thoughtful birth environment matters.

And there is enormous value in entering birth having already done that work together.

And yes, meaningful support can happen online.

Wholehearted Birth isn't private doula care, and Forest won't physically attend your birth through this program.

But meaningful preparation doesn't require Forest to live in your town.

Forest has supported couples virtually across geographic distances through pregnancy, birth preparation, relationship transitions and postpartum.

Meet Forest Soleil

Holistic childbirth education meets relationship preparation.

....................

I'm Forest.

I'm a holistic childbirth educator, birth & postpartum doula, relationship and communication coach, authentic relating facilitator, DONA doula, and Matrona Birth Keeper.

I've spent approximately seven years working directly in the worlds of birth and relationships—and even longer working closely with couples and families.

But my work became deeply personal when I became a mother myself.

I experienced a wild pregnancy and an unmedicated homebirth, and motherhood changed the way I understood birth, postpartum and family forever.

I don't believe birth is merely a medical event to get through.

I believe the body has intentional design and profound wisdom.

I believe Mother and Baby matter as an interconnected pair.

I believe fathers matter.

I believe marriage and family matter.

I believe we can respect skilled professionals without surrendering our responsibility to think, discern and make our own informed choices.

And I believe birth preparation should involve more than teaching Mother how to breathe through contractions while Dad sits beside her wondering what he's supposed to do.

My work sits at an unusual intersection:

Birth physiology.

Relationship and communication skills.

Emotional preparation.

Practical preparation.

Informed decision-making.

Motherhood, fatherhood and family.

That's what I wanted Wholehearted Birth to bring together.

Not nine weeks of information.

Nine weeks of preparation.

Private sessions are completely optional and are not required to receive the full Wholehearted Birth experience.

Who's this For?

Wholehearted Birth was created especially for first-time parents who want to prepare intentionally for physiological birth and parenthood.

You'll likely feel at home here if you:

  • Want more than a conventional hospital childbirth class

  • Value natural or holistic living

  • Want to understand normal physiological birth deeply

  • Are considering homebirth, birth center, hospital birth or freebirth

  • Want your husband/birth partner genuinely involved

  • Care about informed consent and personal responsibility

  • Want to think critically rather than blindly follow anyone—including Forest

  • Want practical preparation alongside emotional and relational preparation

  • Want to protect your postpartum beginning

  • Value motherhood, fatherhood, marriage/couple connection and family

  • Want preparation that feels grounded, wholesome and deeply human

Returning parents are also welcome—particularly if you're preparing for a different kind of birth this time, a first homebirth, VBAC, a more physiological experience, deeper partner preparation or a more intentional postpartum season.

You don't need to agree with Forest about everything.

You do need to be willing to think critically, ask questions and take responsibility for your own choices.

You will never be able to control every detail of birth.

And that's not the goal. The goal is to understand. To prepare. To discern. To practice. To communicate. To become more connected as a couple. To know your options. To know how to ask questions. To understand what Mother needs. To help Dad know how to support her. To think beyond labor into postpartum.

To enter this transition with intention rather than simply hoping everything works itself out.

Your baby is already coming.

The question is how intentionally you want to prepare for the journey that brings you together.
